Expert Training for Aspiring Dog Groomers

With over 15 years of experience in the grooming industry, I founded Tailored Trims in 2013, turning my passion for dog grooming into a thriving salon. After achieving my City & Guilds Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming and developing my business, I discovered a true passion for teaching and mentoring others entering the profession. This inspired me to complete my Level 3 Award in Education and Training, enabling me to support students in gaining their own qualifications with confidence and skill.

I have been fortunate to learn from some exceptionally talented groomers within the industry, experiences that shaped my standards and strengthened my desire to guide others on their professional journey. Throughout my career, I have been actively involved in judging at major dog shows, delivering grooming demonstrations at Crufts, and have received multiple awards recognising the quality of my work.

I pride myself on offering dedicated 1:1 tuition, creating a supportive and personalised learning environment where each student can develop at their own pace, build confidence, and refine their technical skills to a high standard.

As a trainer, I am committed to sharing not only technical expertise, but also professionalism, confidence, and pride in the craft of grooming.

Outside of the salon, I share my life with three dogs who keep me busy and inspire much of what I do. I love spending my free time hiking with them and being outdoors. I’m also passionate about fitness and train in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, enjoying the challenge of continually pushing myself. This year I’m taking on a half marathon and a triathlon, having previously completed a sprint triathlon and several 10Ks.

I’m always looking for the next challenge or adventure, and that same mindset carries into my grooming. I’m committed to constantly learning, developing my skills, and improving the experience I provide for every dog that comes through the salon.
